This is the article of our association president, Mr. Haluk AKIN, about the fair discussions that have been going on in the last days...

Dear Committee Members,

As you know, although we are a very young association, Ministry of Industry and Technology and Ministry of Commerce including; We continue to work in close relations with chambers of commerce, Machinery Manufacturers' Association, Textile Exporters' Associations and Clothing Manufacturers' Association.

We are also very pleased to receive our opinions and suggestions about the issues that concern our sector and to exchange ideas with our association.

As you know, there has been an abundance of fairs and fair discussions in my sector recently. We are in these fair discussions not to take sides We have always taken care since the first day, we have worked and researched on this issue together with all our industrialist friends from the Komit Management and Supreme Council, and we are all together with you. our common interests We shared information accordingly.

Tüyap (IGM) fair presented us with the documents that the fair date was registered and that the fairground was taken by Tüyap Teknik Fuarcılık, and we shared these documents with you simultaneously. We also asked CNR to share the same documents with you, but they did not share any documents with us and stated, “We will hold this fair in September”. We asked the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, which is the only authorized authority in our country, regarding the fair organization, regarding this date. TOBB, on the other hand, stated that CNR could not hold such an exhibition on the date they announced to us, and the current laws do not allow it. Upon this official opinion we have received, we have simultaneously stated to you that it is not possible for CNR fairs to organize such a fair in September or October…

CNR Fair Organization, which we believed that it knew from the very beginning that it would not be able to hold a fair on these dates, started to sell fairgrounds as if it was going to hold a fair in September or October. As we shared this situation with you, CNR's fair dates changed several times and then they clarified the fair date on the last announced date.

We re-evaluated the new CNR fair date with our companies active in the upper committee and after we unanimously agreed that the date of this fair, which was in the beginning of August, was a wrong date and that we could not add value to manufacturing and export-oriented companies, Tuyap, which has been held regularly for 26 years and is known worldwide, We decided to support the (IGM) fair as Komid association.

In this direction, the companies in our Komid Board of Directors and Supreme Board and many of our members have signed the contracts for the Tüyap (IGM) fair completely. At the end of the consultations with Tüyap (IGM) Technical Fair Organization, we requested that the price and service privileges offered to Komid members be extended from 10 May to 30 May.

The Komid administration can only advise you on these issues, we are not a political party, many of us are rivals of each other, but to use our common interests together I would like to remind you that we got together.

Please let all our valued members know that; Entry of our members to the fair in CNR or Izmir in August It is the free commercial decision of their companies. As an association, we respect the decisions of our members, and as Komit, if something happens to us, we will do it. However, I would like to state that we laughed at the statements we heard from some people such as “The nightstand was divided into several parts, some in CNR, some in İzmir”, and I request you not to take these statements into consideration.

I would like it to be known that we, as a very young and dynamic association, will continue to serve the Turkish Textile Machinery Industry and all our members in line with our common interests. Finally; What we plan to do after the holiday and want it to become traditional “Welcome to Summer with Komid Bosphorus Boat Trip” We are planning to get together with you at our event and get your opinions on many issues.
