Our Board Member Mr. Metin Kılıç's impressions of Febratex Brazil Fair.

Febratex is the largest textile and clothing machinery fair in the South American market. It is held every two years in August in Blumenau, Brazil. Blumenau is a small city in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, where garment production is relatively widespread. The fairground is quite old and inadequate. For this reason, many additional stands in the form of tents are set up outside the area.

The region is mostly focused on denim production, so the machines exhibited at the fair are generally focused on denim production. Suit production is very little. In addition, there is also combed cotton and shirt production.

I visited the first and second days of the fair. It was too crowded to take a step because of the number of visitors. It is not easy to participate in this fair. Since the participating companies are constantly keeping their reservations, it is very difficult to find a stand in a good location. At first, it seems more logical to participate through a dealer or representative channel.
